Crytek announced Crysis Remastered for PS4/XBOX ONE/PC/NINTENDO

Crysis

Crysis was one of the most promising games of its era. The game was originally launched on November 13th, 2007 however the game itself doesn't look pretty bad even in 2020. Having said that, the PC mods made wonders to the old game and gave it crisper appealing. The game received a solid 9.4/10 rating by IGN.

Who's the Co-Developer and What to Expect?

Saber Interactive is working on the remaster port of Crysis. Tim Willits, CEO of Saber Interactive gave hints on twitter about more Crytek Projects to be remaster in near future. However, Willits deleted the tweets but Internet never forgets. Don't expect to have a Crysis trilogy release like PS4 owners have Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection. "Games" and "Remasters" are two different terminologies. Seems like Willits did a double typo in two differnt tweets. I certainly assume maybe he let slip that in near future that more Crysis games are returning. Crytek might focus on multiple remasters if its first title sells pretty well.

Crysis Remastered is mainly focused on original game's single player campaign. The players will experience the game again with very high textures, improved art assets, superior anti-aliasing, new lighting effects, improved motion blur. It also feature software-based Ray Tracing. It will give major visual upgrades to this classic first person shooter experience. Besides, Crytek hasn't announced any official release date yet.

What other Crysis games would you like to see return in future? I recall Crysis 2 was my favourite game in Crysis trilogy.
